Turoe Pet Farm is established since 1993 and has become one of the top attractions in the West of Ireland. It is a family run business in a town called Bullaun and is surrounded by beautiful scenery in the rural part of the country. This farm is perfect for anyone who is looking for family, group and individual outings and just some space to take time off and relax. They are open throughout the year and are also wheelchair friendly! There is a 14 acre large park where you can take a nice walk and also feed and pet the animals. Cuddling the animals is one of the children’s favourite activities.
They offer a wide range of animals to see such as ponies, sheep, goats, pigs, cockerels, rabbits, ducks, cows, donkeys as well as Larry the Llama and Curley the Alpaca. There’s a wide range of activities to ensure everyone in your family or your party have something to do. These activities include: All weather nature trail, supervised indoor play areas, jungle town which is an indoor play area, inflatable city which is Europe’s largest bouncing castle, two outdoor playgrounds, pool room, sand pit and pets corner, astro turf pitch with lighting, a football pitch and an indoor picnic area.
As you arrive there will be a bird aviary to greet you for everyone who are enthusiasts or even just have an interest in wildlife. Your little ones will love the pet corner which allows them to get a chance to cuddle the cute rabbits and there’s a sandpit play area there also.
If you’re looking to just relax and have a walk on one of their beautiful trails, you will also be able to see all the farm animals on the way such as pigs, cows, donkeys, goats and sheep. If it’s a little cold outside, you will still be able to see them indoors. The Hawthorn Walk, which is buggy and wheelchair friendly, is an all-weather walkway which will allow you and your little ones to hand feed many of the animals.
Outdoor play area has plenty of stuff to do also; they have swings, slides and some see-saws which are all on the same Hawthorn Walk. Inflatable City, which is Europe’s biggest bouncy castle so far is what gets the little ones most excited. It is a huge 8,000sqf bouncy castle with 3 slides which are all of different lengths. For those who are more brave there is 25ft slide too! If that’s not enough of activities yet there’s also a large slide tunnel, ball ponds, zip lines, bishbash all based over 2 stories high. There is also a toddler section for the smaller tots to enjoy. All in all it provides a full days activity for everyone.
