Streets of Galway is an 8k Road Race that takes place on Saturday August 12th 2017 at 7pm. In its 32nd year Streets of Galway is a popular event on the running calendar and attracts from runners of all ages from all over Ireland and internationally. It attracts competitors, athletic runners, fun runners, walkers and joggers. Last year saw 3,000 entrants and more are expected this year.
Streets of Galway starts off at Fr Griffin Road and makes its way through the winding streets of the city passing Eyre Square and The Spanish Arch and onto Salthill, past Pearse Stadium, along by the Salthill Prom and a view of Galway Bay and finishing up at the Claddagh.
