Each day of Galway race week has a different theme and show of events taking place:
On Monday, the opening evening has a theme “Gather your tribe”- gates open at 2.30pm and has 7 races.
On Tuesday, enjoy the sports and social day with a secret twist on the day of the event. Racing begins at 2.30pm with 7 races on the day.
On Wednesday, it is Galway Plate day. This year it will be 148th time running of the race. Races will begin at 12.30pm and a total of 8 races will be on the day.
On Thursday, renowned Ladies day takes place with glamourous fashion and spectacular hats on the day with racing. Racing beings at 1.50 pm with 8 races on the day.
On Friday, “Fair Lady” competition takes place. Races begin at 2.30pm with 7 races on the day.
On Saturday, Super Saturday a family fun day with entertainment for young race goers including bouncy castles, face painting and slides. Gates open at 12.00pm with the first race starting at 2.40pm and 7 races on the day.
On Sunday, it brings the last day of Summer racing for another year. The theme of the day is Mad Hatters. This day is also a family day with lots of entertainment for all. The first race begins at 2.15pm with a total of 8 races on the day.
